Fabric Recommendations:
We recommend fleece/minky for your body materials, however you can absolutely experiment with lots of other materials. The flowers with multiple layer of petals MUST use a thinner material like cotton for the petals. Minky or Fleece will be too bulky for the multiple layers of petals! You can use a wide variety of materials for appliques as well but ensure you zigzag/serge the seam allowances when using fabrics that fray.
